I noticed that most anime bloggers would post their Top 10 [insert name] of the Year. Well, maybe I could try it out myself. So, first, I’ll post my Top 10 Male Seiyuu of 2010.

10. Keiji Fujiwara

Roles this year: Tony Stark (Iron Man), The Mayor (Arakawa Under the Bridge), Higuchi (Tatami Galaxy), Maes Hughes (FMA: Brotherhood)

-He can voice from wacky characters to serious roles including flamboyant gays and cold-blooded killers. He’s so goofy in Arakawa Under the Bridge and very cool in Iron Man.

9. Takehito Koyasu

Roles this year: JK (Occult Academy), Sister (Arakawa Under the Bridge)

-Obviously, since this guy has done so many roles (he’s the 365 roles and counting), I never get tired of hearing him. In some cases, I could quickly recognize his voice in one of the characters be it main or supporting.

8. Hiroyuki Yoshino

Roles this year: Brief (Panty and Stockings with Garterbelt), Ozu (Tatami Galaxy), Aoi Miyoshi (Senkou no Night Raid), Allelujah Haptism (MS Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer)

-he may speak broken Chinese and Russian, play as the backstabbing friend, be a pilot with a split personality and become the butt-of-all-jokes, but this guy really needs to do more for next year.

7. Yuuichi Nakamura

Roles this year: Kyohei “Dotachin” Kadota (Durarara), Last Samurai (Arakawa Under the Bridge), Kyousuke Kousaka (Oreimo), Akira Kaburagi (Dance in the Vampire Bund), Graham Aker (MS Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer)

-I noticed that he got less main roles this year. He should have done since he got so many starring roles in 2008.

6. Tomokazu Sugita

Roles this year: Star (Arakawa Under the Bridge), Keisuke (Togainu no Chi), Kyon (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya)

-Who would forget that he’s the one who sing, “Himo, himo, himo~ Himo, himo, himo). This guy has a wide range of vocals and yes, can do weird stunts when he got his picture taken.

5. Daisuke Ono

Roles his year: Shizuo Heiwajima (Durarara), Sebastain Michaelis (Kuroshitsuji II), Itsuki Koizumi (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya), Yakumo (Psychic Detective Yakumo)

-I really like his role as Shizuo most especially when he shouts, “IZAYAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!” and yet, he won Best Lead Actor for this year’s Seiyuu Awards.

4. Satoshi Hino

Roles this year: Akito Takagi (Bakuman), Yoshinokazura Riken (Otome Youkai Zakuro),  Botasky (Cat Shit One)

-I checked his past roles where he usually plays as the roles that had be stammered by tsunderes (most especially if they are voiced by Rie Kugimiya). But I’m surprised how he voiced Riken in a deep voice and yet he sings one of the EDs too. And he can speak English too.

3. Daisuke Namikawa

Roles: Masanosuke Akitsu (Sarai-ya Goryou), Kazura Iha (Senkou no Night Raid),  Italy (Hetalia), Musashi Miyamoto (Sengoku Basara 2), MS Gundam Unicorn (Riddhe Marcenas)

-he played a wussy samurai, a stoic Japanese agent, a pasta-loving guy, a powerful samurai and a determined pilot. Also, he directed his first movie which has an all-star seiyuu cast (no, it’s not anime, it’s live-action) and won for Best Supporting Actor for this year’s Seiyuu Awards. He really has a lot of talent.

2. Takahiro Sakurai

Roles this year: Yaichi (Sarai-ya Goryou), Kei Agemaki (Otome Youkai Zakuro), Yoshihiko Tokugawa (Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls), Claude Faustus (Kuroshitsuji II)

-Despite that he’s know for being the voice of Suzaku (a character who I despised before), he still got talent. Problem is that he’s not singing on ED of Otome Youkai Zakuro. I heard his singing voice and he’s good. But how come he’s not singing now? Bummer.

1. Hiroshi Kamiya

Roles: Yuzuru Otonashi (Angel Beats, Kou Ichinomiya (Arakawa Under the Bridge), Izaya Orihara (Durarara), Tieria Erde (MS Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer)

– He can expresses his roles really loud. Come on, he laughs menacing while stomping phone, going in despair while under the bridge, becoming the voice of reason in the afterlife and saving mankind from alien nano-thingies (that might be a spoiler in your part). I noticed that he had done a lot of roles ever since he became SHAFT’s token boy.

Those who didn’t make it:

* Hiroaki Hirata (Takachiho Isao- Senkou no Night Raid, Ho Yinsen- Iron Man)
-Yeah, I know he’s being busy in One Piece as Sanji but I hope that he can do more.

*Kouji Yusa (Lawrence- Letter Bee Reverse, Lau- Kuroshitsuji II, Sanosuke Harada- Hakuouki)
-Meh, he should have more main roles despite him being Gin Ichimaru

*Mamoru Miyano (Masaomi Kida- Durarara, Takuto- Star Driver, Setsuna F. Seiei- MS Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer)
-asides from having a minor yet important role in H.O.T.D., he doesn’t have much for this year except for having a starring role in Namikawa’s movie.
