Apparently, 2010 is chock full of moe and if you really don’t like moe, then you’ll have a hard time looking for that female character who stands out. Fortunately, there are still female characters who managed to strike out in the spotlight.

1. Celty Sturltson (Durarara!!)

This gal kicks ass. She may not be human but she really cares about the people around her. Well, of course, she may care less for Izaya.

2. Saeko Bunijima (Highschool of the Dead)

Ignoring the fanservice and infamous boob matrix, Saeko is really the best companion that you really need when it comes to surviving in the zombie apocalypse. She’s very realistic and ready to kill. For the latter, she actually want she really want.

3. Nino (Arakawa Under the Bridge)

She’s weird but everybody loves her including Kou. It’s up to you whether she’s really from Venus or just a little airheaded.

4. Kanade “Tenshi” Tachibana (Angel Beats)

A lot of people might think she’s a copy of Yuki Nagato or Rei Ayanami. But she’s different. I like how the everybody’s perception of her as the villian changed when she joins the SSS Bridgade.

5. Yukina Sonogi (Senkou no Night Raid)

Too bad we didn’t really get to see her kick some ass. But she does prove herself worthy with the help of her telepathic powers. It’s a good thing that she’s not some fanatical imperialistic believer. She just want to see her brother again.

6. Akashi (The Tatami Galaxy)

I like her dyanamics with Watashi. She’s really a good friend to him. It’s also funny to see freak out by a moth.

7. Maya Kumashiro (Occult Academy)

Tsundere to the max. Well, she’s not annoying. She just had her reasons. BTW, she does have some sexy legs.

8. Susukihotaru (Otome Youkai Zakuro)

She does kick ass and I like how she’s reasonable to Zakuro and caring to Riken.

9. Anri Sonohara (Durarara!!)

Who would thought that this shy girl became a badass swordswoman? Well, given her powers and her past, she just shows that nobody should mess with her.

10. Saya Takagi (Highschool of the Dead)

She maybe annoying but she’s being realistic. She’s another companion that you need in surviving zombie apocalypse. Except that, you need a lot of patience and tolerance when she rants at you.

A lot of hot, cute and badass guys kept coming for 2010. And I say, a lot because they wouldn’t made it in the Top 10.

1. Shizuo Heiwajima (Durarara)

If you just happened to annoy this guy or you’re name is Izaya, just run away. This guy is a dragon that you’re not supposed to annoy. Otherwise, you’ll end up in the hospital.

2. Kou Ichinomiya (Arakawa Under the Bridge)

I enjoy watching this guy and his actions in helping and teaching the residents of Arakawa Bridge to do something….normal. Note: Sorry, I can’t find a single picture of him. Don’t worry, I like Hoshi too.

3. Kazura Iha (Senkou no Night Raid)

I love this guy. He wears a badass suit and really kicks some ass. But one minor flaw is that he has an imperialistic mindset. But don’t worry, he’s not on the fanatical side.

4. Yuzuru Otonashi (Angel Beats)

Praise this guy for he is the Messiah.

5. Masanosuke Akitsu (House of Five Leaves)

Just imagine this guy as Abel Nightroad or Vash the Stampede in the Tokugawa era.

6. Takashi Komuro (Highschool of the Dead)

Obviously, he’s the main character and the leader. He knows what he’s doing and will do anything to protect his friends no matter the cost.

7. Aoi Miyoshi (Senkou no Night Raid)

Really a polar opposite of Kazura. This guy has the mindset of a person in the 20th century. But his problem is his lousy violin-playing skills.

8. Sister (Arakawa Under the Bridge)

This nun made priests look like sissies. Heck, he’s probably inspired by the nuns of Black Lagoon. Oh, btw, his mentor is said to be a certain Snake (probably Naked Snake/Big Boss or Solid Snake/Old Snake).

9. Riken Yoshinokazura (Otome Youkai Zakuro)

This guy is probably Kazura’s grandpa because they have the same personalities. Except that Riken is more of people person. Note: Sorry again, there’s no good single picture of him.

10. Nagato Sakurai (Iron Man)

Despite my disappointment on Iron Man, this guy stands out. Yeah, so sorry, Tony, you suck. Srsly, Sakurai should have his own series, not starring Tony Stark.
